Are you paying too much for gas and electricity?

It has come to our attention recently that a large number of firms have not negotiated their own business electricity and gas contracts and that they are therefore paying default rates for their energy sources.  We have come across cases where firms are paying considerably more than the amount they need to pay.

Did you know that with business consumption of gas or electricity you are able to call suppliers directly and negotiate a tariff?  It will only take you a couple of calls to find out where better prices might be available.

Also, when your renewal offer comes in from your current supplier it’s worth taking the time to read the details properly as quite often your supplier will offer to keep your contract running without you having to do anything, HOWEVER, their tariff rates for the new contract are sometimes 20, 30 or even 40% higher than your original rates.

This means that substantial savings could be available to you right now for free, which can only be good news at anytime but especially in the current financial climate!  To do this you can either:

-           Telephone a couple or 3 business energy suppliers to discuss what business rate they are prepared to offer (telephone numbers can be found in any business telephone directory).

-           Go to a price comparison site that deals specifically with business energy rates such as www.energyhelpline.com/business where there are no fees involved

If you don’t feel confident enough to do it yourself there are Independent Business Energy Brokers or Expense Reduction Analysts available to assist you for a fee or commission.  Two of our clients that provide this service are:
