Coping with the recession

RECESSION AHEAD

Some strategies to improve your sales:

  • Bundle up a range of products or services into a package. This makes your offering more attractive to the customer and harder for competitors to compete on price.
  • Contact current customers to discuss their experience of dealing with your company and learn from their responses.
  • Contact previous customers to understand why they stopped using you, to receive feedback on your product or service, and see if they will provide testimonials or case studies for you to use in promoting your business to others.
  • Invite existing and potential customers, professional advisors and suppliers to a networking event at your premises or other suitable venue. .Ask one of the guests to make a short presentation about some business topic to provide a focus for the evening. .This may create some new business opportunities and differentiate you from your competitors

CASE STUDY

Beware of sales enquiries that come out of the blue without any apparent effort on your part. We heard of a business selling high value presentation equipment that suddenly received a large rush order from a new customer. Payment terms of cheque on delivery were offered. This was of course a scam as the cheque would have bounced long after the equipment had been sold on.

REMEMBER!
